Adv. Health Assess and Diagnostic Reasoning for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (MSN 543)

This course prepares the advanced practice neonatal nurse to conduct comprehensive health assessments of culturally diverse individuals across the lifespan. The process of critical thinking and clinical reasoning is emphasized as the primary means of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data obtained from history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies. Emphasis will be placed on the recognition of assessment and diagnostic findings that deviate from normal on newborns and infants to age 2.
